Hey, would any of y'all in the Boston area be interested in visiting the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation this weekend? There's a Groupon for half off admission, and the lowest tier is tickets for two people, and they're having a model engineering show on Saturday that sounds kind of impressive. The museum's in Waltham, which I know is kind of a haul (at least for me), but if anyone's interested...

I will chase up my end of the city and see! I know we are having more than one friend visit this weekend, so I'm unsure what my schedule as hostess is yet (fun times! :D). I've never been out to Waltham. I'm not even entirely sure what that means, travel wise! :O Adventure!

Google Maps says that for me, it's around an hour and a half by mass transit from Orient Heights. I'm willing to give it a try just to see but I can understand where distance would be something of an issue for other folks.

I'd be down for this! I don't really have a schedule this weekend, and Waltham's not actually that hard for me to get to.

Ah, cool. I just bought the one-year family membership for up to six people, since the alternatives were 'tickets for two for $7', 'tickets for four for $14', and the membership for $20. Seems like a decent deal, should get people in this weekend without a problem, and if anything interesting happens at the museum in the next year I'll be able to go back.
