milliways_bar after all. Good book, great characters, fascinating material... but no matter how many times I tell myself otherwise I can't shake the feeling that I'm one badly chosen phrase away from turning it into White Chick Appropriation of Other People's Cultural Memes, or else from a well-meant but nonetheless reprehensible veering into Stereotype Land.
Ah well.
(This does not mean I don't have another book-based headvoice in mind for when a slot opens up, it's just that it's not gonna be Adoulla Makhslood no matter how much I like him.)
