camwynTook a CPR class for the first time in years yesterday. American Heart Association, not Red Cross. Nothing against Red Cross, y'understand, I'd sign up with them if they were right there on the spot- but this was a CPR for the Professional Rescuer class taught at the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Service, and I've decided I wanna sign up for volunteer time with them. I'd like to do something that actually means something, and it's either ride with the ambulances and get puked on by people we're trying to get to the hospital alive, or sign up with Liberty Humane Society and come home each night and drive my cats crazy by hugging them while I cry for twenty minutes straight.
If nothing else, I've driven Red Cross ERVs, and those are converted ambulances. Maybe they can make use of that. We'll see.
