a) the first day was just a hairball
b) you bought a 'grow your own wheatgrass for the cat to eat!' attachment for his water fountain and started it growing two weeks ago
c) he will chew on virtually anything of the loose and flappy persuasion given half a chance, including packing tape and cardboard
d) someone keeps pulling the wheatgrass pod out of its place and dragging it halfway across the kitchen, leaving much of it chewed up, and
e) eating grass makes cats puke.
He hasn't got any other physical symptoms or signs of problems and he wasn't sick at Batya's. My guess is that he's gone "Ooh! New thing to chew on!" and indulged himself, and then wound up playing the horka-hork game. I am removing the grass from the water fountain for a while to see whether he gets sick again or not. I'm betting on not.
