Oct. 1st, 2010 10:13 amFound an album yesterday on iTunes: Invincible, by Two Steps From Hell. A friend of mine had identified the track "Heart of Courage" by Two Steps From Hell as being the background music for the Mass Effect 2 launch trailer (and the fan trailer that used a female Shepard instead- I prefer the female trailer, I think the fan put together some better scenes and overall made it feel more impressive). The album's tracks all sounded very impressive and I could easily see any of them as trailer music for a big RP plot or a really big RP scene.
Turns out that's because that's what they are. Two Steps From Hell produces music for movie and game trailers. Most of their work is unavailable to the public as album compilations of trailer music are nearly always confined to the tv/movie/videogame marketing trade, but Invincible was released for public consumption instead.
I am good with this. And I would like it known that if you are ever grouchy about things at work, and your city's streets are flooded, and your cat piddled on the bathroom rug again within a day of putting it through the washing machine, and you have your period, and you're generally being nibbled to death by ducks, this album can make your day EPIC instead. Even more EPIC if you buy some Mountain Dew and Swedish Fish for your breakfast while listening.
Invincible, by Two Steps From Hell: EPIC in a can.
