It's a quiet day today. And for once I don't have to study, or get a zipcar to its location on time, or anything. My cats are at home, sort of eyeing each other from about a yard away and then running to opposite ends of the apartment. My bike's parked outside the teahouse, chained to a phone pole in my direct line of sight. My laptop fit in my Bag of Holding messenger bag, which is good seeing how I managed to inadvertently weaken the straps on my backpack last week and finally one of them gave up and tore away completely. I'll be going to the supermarket later for some groceries and a dangly cat toy on a string to try and coax Kamella out of her hideyhole more often. It's all good.

The possibility exists, at the moment, of me being transferred to a new office/line of business my company is opening elsewhere in the country. It's still only a possibility. The person in charge of the remote office has expressed an interest in maybe hiring a specific IT consultant, so it depends on whether the NY office gets its way or not. But if they do, then I'll probably be out there three to six months, if not permanently. I'm kind of hoping that that's the case. Not that I don't like the New York City area, but... it'd be nice to go somewhere new, try something new, live somewhere else, you know? And be part of something getting started from the ground up. Sometimes these things are called for.

Be a pity to lose this teahouse, but I've been to the other city; there'd be others in plenty. We'll see how it goes.

So for now I"m relaxing with iced tea, listening to a Sting song I don't recognize, debating whether I want another tea or some iced coffee instead. Things will happen in their own time.
