camwynNothing special to report this morning. I'm listening to the bright shiny new CD I bought yesterday at lunch, and I noticed that cadhla's email isn't working - I keep getting bounce messages. BAD server NO bikkit! Give her back her email!
Er. Anyway.
Everyone in creation seems to be putting together friendtests. I'm not gonna, if I can avoid it. Yours truly is a rampaging paranoid at times. I knew about LJ place for ages, but it took quite a bit of persuading before I finally decided to actually get an account. The trouble with friendtests is that some of the possible answers will contain accurate information, and I don't want J. Random Stranger blowing through and picking up more than s/he should. Making them hard, which seems to be the local sport, seems to require using a level of detail that makes me very uncomfortable. I might pick up on a trend someone suggested last night and try creating a few such tests for characters - purely IC stuff - but. . . me? No.
For now, though, I'm going to go get something to drink. Today's morning bevvy was cappucino-flavoured soymilk cut about half-and-half with coffee, and I have all this energy and no place to put it. I'm in the kind of mood where RP'ing Fang would be an excellent thing, but I set a rule for myself years ago when I came to work here: no MUSHing from work except under extraordinary circumstances. (These are defined as 'after 5 PM while on a shift that runs to 8 PM or later, or if on duty as part of a skeleton crew on a weekend, or if trying to reach people to inform them that significant portions of the Eastern Seaboard are under terrorist attack and I have to go clean it up'. Yes, that last is a very real possibility in my job.) I gotta find something else to do, but the DB software that's used for my primary tasks is tied up making changes and won't be available until the changes are done... grr.
