Nov. 23rd, 2009 08:22 pmMemo to self: pls to not be trying to run any of the building stairs again until you can climb a lot more at a walk at a single go. Made mistake of starting off going upstairs at a trot today on floor 29. regretted relatively quickly. Opted to start walking at floor 36. Made it to floor 40, slowly. Proceeded to turn around and go back down as per spec. Managed okay but damn, I'd forgotten just how painful that sort of thing could be if the lungs were not expecting it.
There is some wheezy feeling still at the moment, but then again, this morning I started feeling symptoms not unlike those of a chest cold coming on. I don't know why I tried to run up the stairs, it just seemed like a place to start. Won't happen again until I can do all 44 floors at a walk without stopping, and then it will be 'run four, walk the rest, walk down', followed by 'run eight, walk the rest, walk down', etc.
