Jun. 17th, 2009 09:11 amGot the Ghostbusters video game from Atari yesterday. I am... deeply pleased. And I am also quite content to consider it the third movie based on what I've played so far, which is 1/4 to 1/3 of the total playtime from what I can tell. (Or the second movie, given that I have yet to see a reference to Vigo the Carpathian. I would not cry if this were the second movie. I'm still convinced Ghostbusters 2 works best as a story if you assume it's actually five cartoon episodes strung together back to back and filmed with the live-action actors for some inexplicable reason.)
There will be proper reviewing later, as I am at work and work has been insane lately, but I thought folks should know. Oh, and you play as a new recruit- a fifth Ghostbuster who's just joined the company. You don't get a name. Venkman specifically stops Ray and Egon from telling him your name on the grounds that he doesn't wanna get too attached to this one. You get to see your character in the cut scenes, but I have yet to see or hear him talk, which is fine with me.
