May. 4th, 2009 09:16 amLove my cats. Truly do.
5:30 AM, however, is not a good time for them to announce that they want feeding by chewing loudly on the nearest piece of corrugated cardboard and meowing in my ear.
Seldom have I had two hours of such marvellous sleep as I did when I led them out of my bedroom, then closed the door on them and went back to bed. Even with their 'mew? Mew? Mewwww....' voices audible through the door and Shula's dogged attempt to get the kittyflap to work despite my having pushed a large heavy plastic tub in front of it.
(They got fed later, when I got up for real, at 7:30. The day after a race is not a good day to presume Mommy is feeling indulgent.)
