Mar. 16th, 2009 12:24 pmToday's crowning moment of weird thus far:
I got into Grand Central Station to head up to Way-The-Hell-Up-The-Hudson, New York for a server install at our disaster site. And I thought to myself: "Self, we swore off caffeine for Lent, but we do rather like the taste of iced coffee. How about we stop at Starbucks and get some iced decaf?"
So we did, though the line was quite long. It was fast, though. Which was good, because the instant I got online, the song they were playing changed...
... to the Inkspots' "I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire", a.k.a. the intro song for Fallout 3, and one of the twenty-two or so songs on the rotating playlist on an in-game radio station.
I swear, if the next song they played had been from Three Dog's playlist I would've run out of that Starbucks like a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs, coffee or no.
