Did the parade today. Sweated a lot, but that's okay. I enjoyed it and I looked good. And there were headcrab zombies! I spent most of the parade shepherding one of them because he couldn't see.

I'm told there are two guys at this con dressed as Gordon Freeman and one of them is just in a blue suit with orange duct tape on. Either way, neither one was in the parade. WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU, FREEMAN?

sheesh.

Obviously, they both had to take the long way around and crowbar their way through five million headcrabs and by the time they got there the parade was over.

Maybe you should've made a sign saying "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU, GORDAN FREMON?" in the grand old Marine tradition? (After all, spray-painting the message all over the walls would be vandalism.)

.... possibly I should've paid someone to go into a men's room and write it on the mirror in soap for me. That would've qualified as graffiti without vandalism charges.

As one of the two guys who attended Dragon*Con 2008 dressed as Gordon Freeman - and the one who wasn't just wearing a blue suit with orange duct tape on - I wish to offer my apologies for letting down a fellow Half-Life enthusiast.

My apologies for shouting at you- I hadn't expected to see anyone else from Half-Life there, so running into the zombies was something of a surprise, and then running into you the day after the parade was even more so. For what it's worth I thought you did a very good job.

I have got to get drharper to send me the picture she took of me in the Alyx Vance costume. (I stopped wearing it the day after the parade because Atlanta + Labour Day weekend + actual winter jacket = OW.) But thank you, and I still have your picture on my cell phone if you wanted a copy...
