Aug. 11th, 2008 09:30 amSo yesterday I was at my parents' place, and so were my sister and her two kids. The older of the two is about three years; the younger, a little over a year. Towards the end of dinner, my nephew- the older child- started asking about dessert. Specifically, about cake. With sprinkles. And frosting. Lots of both.
Mom looked at him and said very innocently, "What cake? I don't know what you're talking about."
It may have been the first time I got to get away with announcing, "The cake is a lie!" to people who know nothing at all about video games. Mom thought it was hilarious.
