Just for the record, while I did bike seventeen miles yesterday carrying computer and chain, I want it noted that I am a total wuss about heat. I don't like it when the temperature goes over about 85 F. I'm not even happy when it's 80 F or warmer most of the time. I like it cool, chilly, cold,l whatever. Grey and mucky? Fine, as long as it's cold out.

One day I'm going to run away to Alaska and stay there. (I'll have to find something to deal with the mosquitoes first, though.)

Just come back to BC. Today it is a gray, blistering 14 Celsius! I am huddled in fleece from head to toe. People have started referring to this month as Junuary.

I feel your pain. I have the same temperature preferences and it's eleven at night here in The South and it's still over 85 degrees Fahrenheit. We haven't been able to open the windows in a month.

One day I, too, will run away to Alaska. Except my girlfriend would freeze to death. :-(

Can I have your weather, please?

Toronto seems to have decided that the eighth of June is a dandy excuse to boil us all. This is Canada, I cry helplessly into the still, humid air. We're supposed to live in igloos and snowshoe to work! I want my skies a proper decent shade of grey and my thermometers totally unacquainted with any number over twenty! Alas, it is not to be. Bloody climate.

Well it certainly isn't helping those of us with SAD. Nor are the heavy skies good for those of us who are prone to pressure headaches.

I'll trade you my sunny, cheerful, boiled-alive humidity for your dim, depressing chilliness any day. :D

Yeah...not fond of the humidity either. It gives me really BIG HAIR and not in a good way.

What say we chuck it all and head for somewhere moderately warm and dry?

I aim for cool and dampish, actually. Dry air makes my skin peel in a not-at-all-wonderful fashion. *grins*
