Sep. 29th, 2007 11:51 amI have replaced my bicycle rear tyre and adjusted the gearing. Go, me.
For those of you who are not suitably impressed, understand that the bicycle in my journal's header image is the one I use- the Sprint, from Dynamic Bicycles, in Massachusetts. Look for a derailleur. You won't find one. I ride a chainless bicycle with a shaft drive, and there are specific procedures that have to be followed to undo the rear wheel assembly and get at the gearbox that you just don't find in other bicycles.
I'll be taking her out later today, i think. Before going to supper with Mom and Dad.
*does happy bicycle dance* This is the first time I've managed to do this kind of repair myself instead of going 'screw it, going to Chelsea Bikes'.
