No stealing from the Silmarillion in an effort to get past the scanners. For giving your penny stock crap the subject line of "They alone were undivided and followed Gil-galad.", I claim the right to run you through with Ringil just as soon as I can get my hands on it.

Even if you did manage the rather entertaining fake sender name of 'Fengyan Compton'.

I love reading my spam subject lines, and I will occasionally trawl through my spam box to get good names for fanfic characers, but you're right...I hate when then draw from literature like that. I've actually been fooled a couple of times.

OK. I admit to being entertained at times by my spam subject lines and sender names (doesn't keep me from deleting it unread). But 'Fengyan Compton'? What has that got to do with the Silmarillion? 'Fengyan' by the way is a rather common name in China... along the lines of the popularity of Mary or John...

It has nothing to do with the Silm. I just find it entertaining because Compton is notorious as a location in the States thanks to its association with gangsta rappers, very few, if any, of whom are Chinese. While there may in fact be Chinese or Chinese-American gangsta rappers, they are not, in my admittedly limited experience, the first thing I think of when I hear the name Compton.
