Because I have been far more stressed lately than is usual, I figured it was time I put up this request:

I play [livejournal.com profile] gone_byebye, [livejournal.com profile] fire_of_mahal, [livejournal.com profile] not_oswald, [livejournal.com profile] ifeelsofunky, [livejournal.com profile] red_mare, [livejournal.com profile] twoeyesonthesky, and [livejournal.com profile] milkbonesoldier. If you are at all familiar with the characters in question from their canon depictions, please tell me in a comment what I am doing wrong with them, especially if it involves deviations from canon that you think are inconsistent with either known outstanding traits or gradual character development over time ([livejournal.com profile] gone_byebye has been in play for more than a year now, by way of example). Also, if I am doing something wrong with the language, please tell me- I like to think I know better than to screw up grammar too much, but I would rather be certain.

Feel free to comment anonymously. Particularly if you can tell me how to turn off any IP address logging for maximum anonymity since I seem to have IP address logging off by default.

Thank you.

I can't see anything wrong even though I haven't threaded with your version of Egon and Peter or Gimli.

While I don't see anything wrong with any of your puppets except whatchoo've pointed out yourself. Ray's in a comedic canon but he's been kidnapped!

However that's just char bleed from Preston and half of my other pups going WAH!

I am a big fan of your writing, so I won't be helpful in the concrit department. Say sorry.

I like the humor in your writing, and the fact that, though Ray, say, is a complete and utter geek, there's an underlying humanity to him that rises him above the status of the butt of some jokes.

I like 'em. But then again, I'm a fangirl, so I might be bias.

As for your characterisation:

While I've not played with a great number of your other pups, mostly because of recent time constraints and plot, I have played with Ray in the past, rather extensively.

I like what you've done with him, and I can see a lot of what you've done with him having roots in the first movie and, as you have mentioned, the 88mph comics series. Which I bought, because of you. The only thing I can't quite remember, and I only remember it now because I recently re-read the comics, is if you mentioned Ray quitting smoking. That was featured in a few pages in the comic, as I remember, and ... I think you did it. But I don't quite remember. It's one of those tiny nitpicky details, though, that doesn't matter so much in overall characterisation. He wasn't a chainsmoker in the comic, so it doesn't really come up.

I do know he's been great in dealing with my AI army, and has been a great help to them and their family. I would never have thought up a KR/GB crossover without that influence. All in all, I think you make Ray delightfully human. More power to you.

I think that's what I remembered, and yeah, people do revert to old habits in stress. So more kudos. Bonnie would bonk him in the head if she caught him smoking, anyway.

You are one of the few, the scary few, who are so smart in your writing that I really have to focus and think about what's being said and how I'll reply. This is not a criticism, btw, it is more an observation made with glee. :)

You write amazingly well. You make me want to track down and rent/purchase/make threats to get the DVDs released to see the base canon. And then I'm left yelling at the TV because the stupid writers didn't let you help with expanding the characterization and/or ending.

I haven't played with you beyond that one -aaawesome- thread so far (which was very, very fun), but from what I can see, I love your characterization of Ray. You've got his balance between business and the childlike exuberance down wonderfully. And like Seattle said above, the fact that you care enough to ask for feedback, rather than just plowing ahead and going your own way speaks volumes.

Long story short - lookin' good from my end!
