Am at work, trying to get VPN connectivity to work. Have been on phone to Microsoft since 3:30 PM. Is 5:36 PM now.

The MS tech is intelligent, helpful,a nd mostly intelligible. The phone connection is mostly responsible for not understanding Panjo's accent. Unfortunately we're now on the phone with a third person, a tech at SonicWALL, the company that makes my company's firewall, and he's harder to make out.

Hopefully we can getthis resolved soon as I have had this phone jammed to my ear for two hours straight now and my neck is kinking up summat awful.

buggrit.

I hate that. My ear starts hurting from having the phone pressed to it.

Wishing you, and your VPN, the best.

I found the headset a godsend when I was doing phone support on a regular basis. It kept me from looking like a confused golden retriever after getting off a long call. *tilts head to one side and looks at you with glazed thoughtless eyes*

Ahgahd -- woman, get thee a headset! Whether or not your work phone supports one by having a handy mini-stero jack, there're headsets you can get. Take a look at Hello Direct (http://www.hellodirect.com/) for more choices than you ever, ever wanted. For me, Plantronics has always worked very well with any phone I ever needed to hitch it to (PBX inclusive), and has been quite adjustable and comfortable.

Don't skimp on quality; once you get it, you'll want to be jacked in for any phone call that'll last more than five minutes, which would mean "anything dealing with phone support". Ability to jack into your cell phone as well will vary depending on your phone; fit to the desk phone first.
