Move to the Yukon any time you like. I'll tell my brother to give you a tour if you're in his neck of the woods. Take a parka if you decide to stay for the winter, but August is generally awesome there.
I never saw the point of a/c until two years ago. Moved to Ontario and learned about a new kind of hot. Heavy hot. Wilting hot. Sticky and muggy hot.
Are there songs about Willis Carrier? He should have songs.
oh, amen indeed--i just moved to the eastern region of my state--a lateral move, but about 2500 feet down in elevation and 20 degrees up in temperature. and at this point my *husband*--a man who spent a week, in August, in Naples, FL, in JEANS--*HE* is dying of the heat. *I* start wilting at about 70. Sheesh.
Heck, the only reason i married him was he promised me AC..... {g}
hell, if it makes you feel any better, it's even the same shock moving from northern ontario to southern ontario. The humidity jumps like 200% I swear. Guess that's what you get being surrounded by that much lake on most angles.
Thank goodness it broke the other day and is still gone (well, for a few days at least)
I wait months for summer and then it's too hot to go outside. I didn't know there was such a thing. The last few days have been lovely, but's going to get hot again this weekend.
Canadians and weather, eh? Don't get me started on cold. I could go on for a really long time about cold.
a blessing
