*points vaguely upwards at the gamma radiation part of the comments* It's not obsession. My brain does this with nearly anything, not just fandoms that I'm into. F'rex, the Lutheran church I'm considering joining? It's an analogue of Canada. Calmer people, smaller population, more reasonable attitude towards life, founded on principles I can deal with, fewer raving demagogues in charge, plus, it's right next door.
Um. Given my attitudes towards Canada that probably isn't the best example.
