We're supposed to be writing the next chapter of Who Ya Gonna Owl?. We have the outline. We have the critical events. We've read over the fic again and I, for one, am ready to go forward with it.

So why are you tormenting me with a plotbunny for a Ghostbusters AU where the Boys' grant never got terminated by Columbia? What the hell am I supposed to do with that, huh? Aside from keep it in store for the next time gone_byebye walks out the door at milliways_bar all by himself, that is. Get back on topic or I’m going to the video store and renting Battlefield Earth- you don't want me to do that to you, do you?

Still, I feel Battlefield Earth is a bit stiff. You could cause permanent damage with that level of dreck.

I've built up a tremendous tolerance for really horrible movies, hon. One of my more common forms of entertainment when things are slow on the computer is roaming websites with names like badmovies.org and www.badmovieplanet.com/inferno, better known as Dante's Inferno and All Night Video Store. That, and I've trained up on old school kung fu flicks. It would take nothing less than back-to-back viewings of Dungeons and Clearly Nobody Involved Had Any Intention Of Actually Doing Anything That Even Vaguely Resembling Either The Game Or A Halfway Decent MovieDragons and, oh... Legend of the Overfiend III: Legend of the Demon Womb to really throw me off. Battlefield Earth is just escalating matters to show that I'm serious.

(And yes, I did try to watch Overfiend III. I gave up about halfway in when I realized that, for all that it was a violent 'splody death tentacle hentai, nobody appeared to be having any fun. Not even the bad guys. That, and the art was significantly crummier than the art had had been in the first Overfiend movie. What's the point if they can't at least make the scary bad tentacle hentai either look good or seem like SOME of the people involved are enjoying themselves?)

One of my other friends worked for Central Park Media and had the responsibility of bringing both La Blue Girl and Overfiend into the States. They made him write the English-language copy on the boxes for Overfiend, too; he's rather proud of the fact that he managed to do so without ever watching the film.

(They played the original at my college around February or March or so. Fifteen minutes of excellent plot buried in two hours of 'if this is what's in their collective psyche, then I SERIOUSLY fear the nation of Japan'.)

I have to note, it's fairly impressive to do the copywriting without even watching it. Quite impressive.

Ah, forgive me. My brain has a reprehensible tendresse for the truly awful, but even I couldn't sit through unMST'd Manos without the help of a lot of drugs.

There is no way short of chemical intervention that I can get mine to behave at all, so you're ahead of me in the brain game.

I have an idea for something that's a most horrible threat, but frankly the idea is really a nuclear option. Not something I'd inflict on someone I appreciate.
