Anyone reading this any good at configuring VPNs? The one I've got set up at the office allows users to connect, but has a horrible ping time and won't allow anyone to browse the network,e ven when we use IP addresses rather than machine names.

Symantec Client Security version 9 on the office end, none on the client end (I use Panda Antivirus and a software firewall).

Have you checked the SCS logs? I've run into issues with that software mucking up the works.

A common problem I've seen is traffic that should go back through the tunnel not actually going back into the tunnel. From my days of VPNs (back when t-rex roamed the LANs) there can be an incredible number of things. If you can tail the logs on the office side, and the client side while trying to connect it's easier to find what's not happening.
