New note, to TV news programs:
Nov. 2nd, 2004 03:20 pmSHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP.
I don't want to hear your exit polls. I don't want to hear you coyly congratulating yourselves on not wanting to call either guy a winner. I don't want ANY NEWS WHATSOEVER about this bloody election process until one of the following occurs:
- the results have been SIGNED and SEALED and CERTIFIED
- either George W. Bush or John Kerry has officially conceded
- or the SUN COMES UP ON NOVEMBER 3RD
- or there are kaiju. Because frankly I think New York or Washington or $MAJOR_CALIFORNIA_CITY_OF_MONSTER'S_CHOICE being attacked by a giant Japanese monster would leave me welcoming something as mundane as election Sort Of News But Not Really 'Cos It Hasn't Been Officialized Yet.
Regardless of any of the above conditions happening or not happening I really have to insist on one other thing: the words 'key battleground state' are no longer worth hearing. EVER! EVER! EVER!
... thank you.
