Tomorrow I have to get up around 5 AM, or perhaps a bit later, an hour I normally reserve for going fishing or other such endeavours. This is because tomorrow is my first day at my new job in Manhattan. I know not whether work begins at 8 AM or 9 AM or somewhere in between; the email I sent to my interviewer saying 'what time do you want me in on the 25th' netted a response of 'great! see you then!'. I am endeavouring to be early rather than late, and if I am too early, I shall find a coffeeshop and sit and knit until it is time.

For now, I am trying not to bite my nails. Everything begins again tomorrow.

I'm going to have to change my user info soon. Aiya.

The Brits, I am reliably told, call that hour "sparrowfart," a splendid metaphor for birding.

You'll do wonderfully.

"great, see you then!

Ee, what a fluff-head.:)

It's always nerve-wracking starting a new job, isn't it? I hate it. I mean, after six months at a job I'm feeling bored because I've learned all I'm going to, but I don't want to change jobs and go back to feeling like an idiot because I know nothing.;)

Good luck with your job. You are probably just getting up as I write this. I know you'll be great: getting through the first day is hard, but after that it's clear sailing. You may have to be tolerant of your cow-orkers, but you'll also find new friends. Blessings.

'great! see you then!'

Wow, I would have considered quitting about then. No wonder I don't keep jobs well.

So I can't do the good luck comments - like you'd actually need them *L* - so I'll just say hope your first day went well! :)

I like to refer to this hour of day as the "asscrack of dawn" but then I am a vulgar Canadian. It's when I get up to go to work also (except today and yesterday due to flu). Hope it went well!
