Much to my sorrow I discovered before writing this that RGB was on ABC, not NBC, but still- the idea's the same, isn't it?

Did the movie suck as much as the critics are saying? I want to see Ioan Gruffudd (I know what happens to his char, yeah) but not if the suck is too bad.

It didn't actively suck, but it didn't draw me in, either. It's very much a historical war movie rather than anything to do with King Arthur as we know it. I think the movie creators were trying to present a possible Historically Accurate Basis For All Them Legends, and in the process they scraped off every last bit of legend and left us with a slightly confused movie with a lot of attractive guys in armour and a bunch of bad guys whose names I can't even remember.

Frankly, if I want to see attractive British men going into battle against impossible odds, I'll rent Dog Soldiers again. There was more of a sense of camaraderie, I cared more about the characters, the array of accents was more impressive, and Dog Soldiers had werewolves in.

i agree it was a so-so movie. i am glad i saw it but i wished i'd have waited and rented it.
