*HUGS* I can totally, totally sympathize. When I went out to CA, I had been misinformed as to the nature of my phone-plan, and I wound up owing something like $400. It's sucked LOTS. *more hugs!*
Usually they can fix this by bumping you up to the next call-plan instead. And then after a month or two, you can bump back down. I have done it many times. The onhly problem is it extends your contract time and possibly will change your night hours if you are not already at nights begin at 9pm. However, it may also save you a few hundred dollars. *hugs*
