Feb. 11th, 2004 09:54 amGot complimented on a piece of 'jewelry' yesterday for the first time in longer than I can remember.
The quotes are used because said item was not, technically speaking, jewelry. What it was- and still is- was an enamel Avro Arrow pin that I bought at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum this past January.
Given that I was also wearing a necklace that has gotten compliments in the past, as well as a small pendant of a thylacine that tends to provoke 'what is that' questions, and no comments at all were made on this... well.
Geek-fu even applies to personal adornment.
