Does anyone reading this know much about home lighting? I have a torchiere floor lamp that's... I don't know, ten or so years old. Bought it for cheap at Home Depot or Target or Bed & Bath. The shade bowl thing is plastic, and over time the plastic got brittle and broke yesterday.

Not a lot of plastic shades this size available. Glass shades that fit cost as much as the lamp itself. Lamp uses two LED bulbs. Can I repair the lampshade with anything? I don't have a 3D printer. Would it be safe to patch the hole over the outside with Swedish Tracing Paper, which is basically a translucent thick non-woven polymer thing? If I can't safely patch it or find an affordable replacement I"m probably just going to extract the bulbs and buy a different lamp.
