Note to self: next time verify that the fabric you are buying with the intention of using to make a wearable muslin for a pair of potential linen shorts is apparel fabric BEFORE spending an hour and change trying to cut the pieces and cursing under your breath at how easily it frays at the slightest off kilter cut. Turned out the wheat colored polyester linen I got at Online Fabric Store was meant for drapery, not clothes, a fact I didn't realize until I went back to the site yesterday to look for needle recommendations. (It was marked with a curtains icon, which I had not thought to look for when I purchased it.)

I may line what's left with interfacing and make a draft blocker for under the air conditioner. I haven't the patience to make a go of sewing the cut pieces purely for practice.
