Feb. 1st, 2021 01:07 pmStarted watching Akira Kurosawa's "Ran" last night.
Anybody here happen to have watched it before? And if you have, if the Great Lord had an escort of thirty men, who the hell were the 100+ guys who got slaughtered at the castle massacre? I'm assuming it was a case of "300 Spartans, 900 camp followers and slaves that nobody ever talks about".
(My apologies if that was a spoiler, but given that Ran is based on a Shakespearean tragedy, I'm running with the preset assumption that pretty much everybody dies. (The exception is Hamlet, where Fortinbras shows up fifteen minutes late with Starbucks.))
