Dec. 17th, 2020 08:09 amYvette is a wonderful little black cat who comes into my home office* in the morning if she chooses to leave her overnight perching spot, wanders around a bit, then demands petting by flopping on her side nearby**. This is fine and I am happy to accommodate her but I can only reach my desk from so much of the floor. I tend to leave the Gotomypc session up and running with either Microsoft Teams or Outlook on the main screen and hope for the best as I get down onto the floor to pet her for a bit, but I also take my phone with me most of the time. I can pet her with one hand and use it with the other.
I think she has gotten used to the idea that the sounds of the Duolingo Italian and Chinese instructors mean it's petting time.
*aka my home gym, aka my sewing room, aka the front storage space)
**it is not a big space; unless she has sought out a piece of furniture and gone under it, any floor space big enough for a cat to flop in is 'nearby'; NEVERTHELESS
