When one buys one skein each of yarns in self-striping colorways named Poseidon, Zeus, and Hades, one does not generally expect the initial results to look quite so much like the intended recipient is either the Joker or Lex Luthor...


(seriously, the Poseidon yarn's level of aggressively yellowy green in the first stretch is kind of not a color I associate with the ocean. The other bluegreens and greenblues, yes, but the early part is so heavily slanted towards yellow that it's kind of weird next to the other yarns' blues and purples.)
