Jul. 15th, 2019 08:17 amA new Highly Specific Dread:
Picking up a latex/nitrile/vinyl glove on the beach and not having sand immediately fall out of the weirdly full and squishy fingers.
(I love the ocean. I love the beach. I consider it my duty to remove trash from the beach whenever I go to either gather sea glass or count birds. That does not mean I am not aware of the godawful things that can and do wash up on the shores of Boston Harbor, and having just recently read a New York Daily News article about police finding part of a body in the water, followed by the rest of the body stuck in a nearby pier, does not make finding a partially full glove any easier.)
