There is something just incredibly hardcore about being the kind of person with enough confidence in your own skill and steady hand to apply eyeliner on a moving city bus. I've ridden from Hoboken to the Port Authority with one closed eye rather than try to find which eyelash was causing a problem while the bus was in motion. Anyone who can apply, adjust, and approve of their own eyeliner while the bus is in full stop-and-go is more hardcore dedicated to their art than I think I'd ever be.
