Dec. 18th, 2011 10:07 amYesterday was the anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first successful flight at Kitty Hawk. Today is a slightly different anniversary, one I'm almost certain was at least taught in the schools in the Fallout universe before the War and probably is taught in operating Vaults that haven't failed completely: in the real world, on Dec. 18, 1957, the Shippingport Atomic Power Station in Pennsylvania, the first civilian nuclear facility to generate electricity in the United States, went online.
... I'm not doing any commentary, I'm just noting that one for my own purposes. I may need to use that at a later date for a game or fic or something.
