Oct. 11th, 2010 11:23 amGot today off because the office is closed for Columbus Day. I can live with that. I can also live with the fact that I get Tuesday and Wednesday off; I took vacation days to make up for the bicycling vacation I'd canceled. Not going to do foliage viewing until the weekend, though. I'm told that's when it starts getting good and I can get in on an actual day trip in the Hudson Valley.
Shula is curled up next to me, purring with his head on the laptop's charger block. Kamella's dozing in the window. I woke up this morning with her curled up on my stomach, which is fine by me- means she's comfortable with me. I'm always honored when an animal trusts me enough to do that.
Today is looking to be bright and blue outside. I'm debating whether I want to go to Edgewater and look for parrots or not. It's a decent bike ride and there's a Whole Foods in town, so I can get lunch there if I need to, and even if I don't spot any parrots I'll at least have the river to see. I've got some errands to deal with, though. We'll see.
