Sep. 16th, 2008 09:27 amSo last night the elevator tried to kill me. I consider a six-story sure-FELT-like-it-was-uncontrolled drop followed by an abrupt stop and five minutes of no motion, no door opening, no security contact a murder attempt on the machine's part. The elevator eventually reached the ground floor and let me out, but the security guard said he never saw me on the elevator camera. As I neither burned nor sparkled in the sunlight on the way home and was quite content to have a Subway sandwich for dinner, I can only assume that the elevator or the guard was at fault rather than my own state. (I wasn't standing in the blind spot behind the camera, either, I can tell you that for sure.)
I walked to the PATH from there as I didn't feel like being underground. This meant I wound up crossing paths with a big red Peterbilt longnose tractor-trailer. no flames, just a red paint job... and an unmarked dark blue trailer.
It balances out, I think.
