I'm in the parade tomorrow. Today I managed to get my hands on a plastic gun that could theoretically take the place of Alyx's Gun. (I would've preferred finding a home improvement store and getting a wrench or a crowbar, as those are quite useful, but one takes what one can get.)

I just made its holster out of duct tape and a sliced-up Whoppers container.

Did the parade today. Sweated a lot, but that's okay. I enjoyed it and I looked good. And there were headcrab zombies! I spent most of the parade shepherding one of them because he couldn't see.

I'm told there are two guys at this con dressed as Gordon Freeman and one of them is just in a blue suit with orange duct tape on. Either way, neither one was in the parade. WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU, FREEMAN?
