Am at Twin Cities airport now. my plane's been delayed until 4:45 local time. not sure when I'm getting home. mom says there's snow on the ground in Jersey. this bodes ill.

I hate the last day of a trip. I simultaneously want to BE HOME RIGHT NOW and NOT HAVE TO LEAVE.

Also, unless I greatly miss my guess, it appears I have left my pants* in San Francisco. And the book on guns, but that was a matter of thinking they might get a little bit upset if they had to search my bags for some reason and turned that up along with the copy of Raging Hormones.

*American usage. Also a sweater.

When the TSA guy asks you if you have any liquids or gels to declare (yes, you have to 'declare' them now- EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FASCISM EEEEEE whatever, I'm too tired for this crap), tell him you're carrying solid shampoo and solid conditioner.

Their faces do this 'are you funning with me, ma'am?' thing that I think they learned from Kermit the Frog.



EDIT: I did not do this to tease the TSA guy. I had solid shampoo in a metal tin in my bag and two pieces of solid conditioner in a Ziploc bag. I was offering to show the shampoo to the guy on the chance that the X-ray tech would want to to know what was in the tin.

Also? The internet kiosks (GateStation) at this airport SUCK. They won't validate my credit card (I checked with the bank- it's ok- and used it in an ATM), and they're refusing to take my 8&()&)&*@# CASH.

Oh, Mother of Mares, now it's snowing *here*... And I have no idea where the plane is.

Assuming I get to NJ tonight I am totally taking a taxi home.
