Dear server room:

I have shut down our development server, one of our domain controllers, and our two backup servers. All data is being rerouted to our offsite server in the meantime. This is because the temperature started rising last night and has been hitting 80 degrees or more since seven something this morning. It seems to have dropped to normal now.

If I have to navigate my building's stairs and get my ass into Manhattan because of temperature issues I am going to be VERY CROSS. You're lucky I'm even awake.

Those of you who know policepenguin:

This post of hers scared the bejabers out of me, but thanks to the lovely people of milliways_bar- Cywyll in particular- we managed to get a current working telephone number. She could really and truly use some human contact just about now, so would those of you who know her and might be worried about her contact me? I have her current snail addr and cell phone number. Her primary point of internet contact is... well, it isn't. She'll be heading for the nearest library tomorrow, though.

Anyway. Girl could use a phone call or two, so poke me and I'll give you her phone number. Or her address, if you wanna send her a card or something.
