Apr. 30th, 2007 09:08 amOkay, so, I made John Scalzi's Schadenfreude Pie recipe. I made a few modifications: the graham cracker crust was a homemade crust involving a cup of graham cracker crumbs, a quarter cup of animal crackers pounded into dust, some butter, and some chocolate chips, for example. Also I replaced the cup of dark corn syrup with a cup of Federal grade B dark maple syrup, because I was at a store that had the maple but not the Karo and the Spirit of the Frozen North is not to be denied, at least not if you're me. And the recipe works great even without the Kahlua, and the pie is fantastic...
