Well, I'm here.
Sep. 4th, 2004 08:32 pm'Here' in this case meaning 'at a hotel in Atlanta'. This is the staging area; we're waiting to see what our orders are tomorrow, once Frances gets here in earnest. She's currently busy testing her strength on the Florida coast but they say she's coming ashore properly tonight.
In the past two days I have driven a little over 450 miles. My co-worker has driven 450-500. God, the seats in the ERV are uncomfortable! But, hey, I'll deal. We're here, we're safe, we're getting assigned in the morning, and we'll see what happens from here. The important part is that we're gonna be able to help these folks while we're down here.
Hope all is well with you lot. I'm going to go shower now, as the drive leaves one feeling awfully grubby.
