I meant to work on this properly last night, but after seeing Bubba Ho-Tep (which was okay, though not something I’d repeat unless it were on cable) and informing cadhla that if I lay on my back I could get my toes into my ears, I was a bit too tired to write anything worth actually seeing. I will, therefore, render this unto you in dribs and drabs as I get time throughout the day.

"Your trees. They are not like the trees of we Earth people."

I get uneasy around palm trees for some reason. They look fake. They look like someone is trying too hard to say 'this is a warm, relaxing, sunny place', even when they are growing in warm, relaxing, sunny places. I know they belong somewhere, but somehow they just. . . always look kind of fake. It's unnerving.

So is the California habit of putting mayonnaise on hamburgers! Ecch! Bleck! Ptooie!

And no, before you ask, I don't eat Big Macs. ANYWHERE. Mayo, whether in its native form or the form of Special Sauce or anything else, does not belong on hamburgers.
