I've put the Chinese history lessons to date up at my web site. They're not linked to by any of the other site pages yet. Nor do they link back to the other pages, except for a few references in the romanization section. They only include what I wrote, none of the comments, but if anyone wants a relatively clean set of references, pop by this page and bookmark to your little heart's content.

Today's pulp survival tip is #170. Announcing your nationality in a tight spot, while very patriotic, is more likely to get you trouble than it is to get you special treatment. Unless you are trying to psych yourself up for the stunt you're about to undertake, save it for after you've made it out alive.

Packing.

Tomorrow I go to Canada. I get up at 5:30 or so in the morning and leave as soon as I am able. Tonight I am folding what's left of my laundry and trying like hell to straighten my room enough to leave and feel respectable on my return.

My innards have been complaining at me since a little before dinnertime, and made their displeasure known a little while ago. The rest of me is thrilled to be going to Canada (or as the Inner 5-Year-Old puts it, CANADA CANADA CANADA CANADA CANADA YAY!!!!!) and seeing all kinds of people like [livejournal.com profile] cadhla and [livejournal.com profile] khaosworks. Guts, you've been overruled.

We're going to Canada. Back on Monday or Tuesday.
