Ain't gonna write about the boom.
Feb. 1st, 2003 08:03 pmEverybody else has pretty much said what I was thinking, or what I might think, and I know y'all have a threshold for that kind of thing. I remember Challenger, I remember bein' a disaster worker in NYC on 11-12 September, I get the idea. I doubt the conversation on it will die away any time soon, though, so if you need a haven from it, come by my journal tomorrow and I"ll tell you all about the Lunar New Year stuff I've been seeing in New York City.
Oh, and by the way - there's a Bed Bath and Beyond on 6th Avenue as you walk downtown from the 33rd Street train station. It's got huge green pillars. It's got a doorman or valet or something all dressed in green, with a uniform hat and a long green coat. Today it had a green Audi backing up into a parking space directly out front. Total Wizard of Oz moment, man.
