Attempted mailing again using the IP address instead of the domain name. I was then told 'relaying denied'. I've looked up our server's IP address at a site that'll tell you whether you're being blacklisted by any anti-spam servers. Got one positive result - apparently the IP address that I'm mailing from is blacklisted by one server somewhere in .cx. I'm told:
is DNSbl listed. by xbl.selwerd.cx

advanceddating.com

please see http://selwerd.cx/xbl/
this is not a list of open relays
Now, I don't know how we got on this list. I do know that my office is routed through a machine at our ISP's offices. I'm thinking that- just possibly - spam must've come from one of the ISP's other users, and that we're now on the list because everything issues from the same machine, or some such... I'm really not happy, but I'm guessing that this may be the problem. I've already checked out the MS support stuff at Microsoft's web site and none of it applies to the current situation.
Further bulletins as events warrant.
