(seriously. sometime around an hour before my normal wakeup time, I was snapped awake by cat noises, and then stuck awake because a smoke alarm in the hallway or something had decided to start beeping JUST ONCE every 60-90 seconds- exactly long enough for me to start drifting downwards, but not long enough to get to a level of sleep deep enough to ignore noises outside my room.)
It was a decent weekend, at least. I got to relax, and I made sourdough bread (the King Arthur starter, aka the pedigreed slime jar, is fantastic), plus I made mozzarella cheese from scratch. So there's that. But this morning I'm a little groggy and cranky, so if it shows up in my communications or RP, my apologies.
Oh, and I also saw an episode of Static Shock this weekend, plus the DC animated movie Son of Batman. Static Shock was not what I was expecting, mostly because my introduction to Vergil Hawkins was his portrayal in Young Justice and the Static Shock cartoon had been produced years earlier for a much younger audience. Son of Batman wasn't too bad, although I spent a fair amount of time stalling on just how white Talia al-Ghul was and how she appeared to have borrowed Sniper Wolf's top instead of wearing something from the Baroness' closet. Damian was a snotty little jerk, but hey, so was Bruce at that age. I'm okay with that.
