Anybody on my friends list feel like visiting Worcester, MA next weekend? I just found out about the existence of the Higgins Armory Museum. I can't get to Worcester during the week and they're closed on Sundays, but next Saturday there's an arms and armor show, and a bunch of stuff about Elizabeth I at Tilbury as part of their Women in Armor series, and they also have classes in hitting people with pointy things but those require advance reservations and separate individual payments... anyway, the museum itself sounds fascinating enough, so is there anyone else who wants to go?

Eor and I would have loved to, only he has ludicrous bandages on his toes and can't walk, and I have a semi-hemi-demi invite from my brother to join him for some period of time during his last weekend on this side of the country. (I think it's time I get after him about that, actually. His method of changing plan until the last possible moment tends to make me want to kick him, sometimes. Little brothers, so dear.)

That's okay. The museum will still be there as the weather gets warmer. I just want to see if I can get there for some of the Women in Armor stuff since I won't be in Boston over Easter weekend, and they're only running that through the end of March. If it's cool enough (and I suspect four floors of pointy objects and things to keep you from getting stabbed will be cool enough), another visit is always good.

Next weekend I'm out of town, but I've been meaning to go to the Higgins Armory for ages. If you end up wanting to go some weekend when I'm free, I would happily go! (And happily drive.)

Depending on timing and logistics, I might even be up for a class in hitting people with pointy things for a month or two this summer, since I've been wanting to do that for a while on general fun + expanded knowledge principles. But there's rather more in the way of logistics involved there.
