Hey, does anyone here have enough Russian to help me out with some expletives in the Cyrillic alphabet? I have a picture that's crying out for a caption from Pulp Fiction, but since it concerns some Russian supernatural entities, I kind of wanted to do at least the bad word in the original language and alphabet...

Translates words & phrases in to Russian using Curillic, and it does obscene words
(AltaVista's Russian BabelFish won't)

Unfortunately it doesn't translate typos *sigh*
I meant CYRILLIC of course

Damn. I am without expertise in this field.

Nevertheless, check John's journal.

Camwyn, I studied three semesters of Russian, so yeah, I can transliterate.

If the translation you got in Roman alphabet was "mudak" (prounced "moo-daahck"), this is the Cyrillic (and let's hope LJ supports it.)

МУДАК

If it was "yeb' tvoyu mat'", or something similar, it isn't the more colloquial "motherfucker/dumbass/whatever". That's a pretty big insult that directly means "(I) fuck your mother!"

Hehehe. That's smart. The "yeb' tvoyu" is considered pretty much the worst insult in the Russian language.

Now I'd be interested to see this pretty icon when it's done! :-D
