(no subject)

I was gonna make a joke about my morning spam mail here but I just don't feel up to opening it to get the line I need for my joke right now. I have work coming- I'm on the bus- and I'm half worn down already. Got a lot of Sarbanes-Oxley documents to work on retrieving today, plus for the next three days I'm the only IT person other than the programmers in the office. The thought would be exhausting even without having done 45 floors and 18 + 22 + 16 + 16 + 26 push-ups yesterday and without what feels like an incipient Shark Week messing with my head.

So, yeah. Gonna bust my hump at work and try to be gentle with myself today. Not sure how that's supposed to work. But I'll try.

Gentle is good. I'm a big fan of being gentle with one's self. Feels like it's a theme going around.

The day has turned out, so far, to be better than I feared. I am managing. And waiting for Shark Week to commence, but overall, managing.
